My phone has been unreliable and on the fritz for about eight months now, but today it really shit its pants, to the point where I can’t make or receive calls or texts or notifications of anything anymore. I stomped over to Verizon on my lunch break (third visit in maybe three months about the same problem which just keeps getting worse) and was like “my phone is basically completely bricked and I’m two months away from an upgrade, what can you do for me?” and they shrugged and said “wait it out.” Apple training has already raised my customer service expectations to almost unreachable standards, but even despite this being an unacceptable answer to me, I’m just not good at yelling at strangers and demanding things like a jerk. I don’t want to ruin some guy’s day over company policy he can’t really control, even though I’m peeved. 

That said, my dad and I are going back tomorrow after work and I’m probably getting the iPhone tomorrow using his upgrade. I thought my Android could last til March, but evidently not.
